Le Madeleine is a modern French bistro whose doors first opened in December of 1979 with 17 seats. Fast forward to the new millennium and you'll find a bustling bistro with over 120 seats, an enclosed garden, a zinc-topped bar and a Wine Spectator "Award of Excellence" for its wine list.
How successful is Le Madeleine? Just try walking in without a reservation before theater.
